Cheaney & Sons Experience As A Long-Term Customer

The Cheaney Harrington Oxford shoes are one of the best Oxford-made in England shoes that I have ordered. Coming from the United States of America, the shipping process was fast, easy, and reliable. And so far, I am enjoying my British-made shoes as they fit properly. Also, don't listen to the previous review by Rob Edwards; I have been a good-faith customer with Cheaney for many years, and they have never disappointed me. I will buy from Cheaney again, including other reputable and renowned English brands, including Crockett & Jones, John Lobb, Tricker's, Foster & Son, and Edward Green. And so far, Cheaney is also part of this list as being one of the best English shoemaker brands I have ever experienced and worn throughout my life and never regretted buying a high-quality pair with a brand with such heritage and tradition.

Corrected Grain Leather

I enjoyed unboxing these shoes, and they look excellent. However, after handling the leather, and trying an initial shine, I came to the conclusion that this is not the highest quality leather that Cheaney offers. It might be corrected, green leather, which it shouldn’t be for a shoe that retailed at $500 US I am disappointed because a number of Shoemaker are taking advantage of their strong brand and passing off medium to low quality letter on customers who do not know any better. This is my first pair from Cheaney and unfortunately, I don’t think I will try them again.

Life long customer from my first pair

Bought my pair of Harrington’s back in 2019. They’re my daily work shoe and they’ve seen a lot of pavement. They’ve been put to the test and after I polish them they look just like new. But don’t let the quality of the shoe do all the talking. When I bought my shoes in London, I received fantastic service. Four years later I took them in as there was a small scuff cut into them on what could only be described as a drinking malfunction, ask the associate what can be done about it, not only does he clean it up to tip top shape that same day, he advises me this is simply a service they provide. I can’t say enough good things about the quality of these shoes and the staff they hire. Worth every penny.

A pair of classic, durable, high-quality handmade leather shoes

This is a very old British shoe factory with a long history. The quality of the leather shoes is trustworthy. There was a little defect in the initial delivery, but it was promptly dealt with.

First black capped toed oxfords

This is my second pair of Cheaneys. I have to say I love Cheaney. I have a pair of the Cambridge and I love them. They are a bit long though. But I still love them

These Harringtons are a bit tight in the middle part of the shoe. I put them on my Cheaney beechwood trees right away. I am hopping they loosen up a bit. Other than that I am happy. The price was exceptionally low. And they shipped all the way to Vancouver in 5 days. Love Cheaney!

Beautiful Leather

These are the second pair of shoes I have bought from Cheaney. They fitted beautifull just as the previous pair did. I should add that the first pair are still in active use after many years.

Bought in F width first then moved to G

Bought these in the F fitting (my normal choice) first and found them a bit tight. Then ordered again in G and they fit like a glove. So comfortable straight from box.

Excellent

Fit like slippers, straight out of the box, no breaking in required.
Beautiful supple leather and with the Dainite sole will give me years of wear.
I picked these up in the sale and couldn't be happier.

Beautiful!

3 years ago I invested in a cracking pair of Cheaney brogues from the shop in Piccadilly. Fit like a pair of slippers straight from the box and have worn them every working day since until recently when they finally needed a refurb. Worth every penny at less than tenner a month for the best for your feet! So, sent off for a box to send them back in which came at a price of £225 in the sale! Lot of money for a box... However, in that box came my next investment, a cracking pair of Oxfords in beautiful calf leather! Fit like a glove and look just great! Brogues going home shortly for refurb and looking forward to getting them back as good as new!

Harrington R Capped Oxford

High quality shoes. Excellent fit straight from the box. First pair I’ve bought with Dainite soles and can’t fault them. Delivered very quickly which in the circumstances of the lockdown was remarkable,

Oxford

The term 'Oxford' refers to any style of footwear with a 'closed' lacing system, where the facings are stitched flush with the rest of the shoe. Popularised at Oxford University in the 1800s, they represent the most formal end of footwear styles and encompass many variations including toecaps, brogues and boots. They offer a sleek and streamlined appearance and fit snugly across the instep.
