COMPLIMENTARY SHOE POLISHING

Available in our Covent Garden shoe store is our artisan polishing service, whereby we invite customers to drop off their Cheaney shoes and boots for a bespoke clean and polish. Customers can also request a professional Mirror Shine finish on suitable styles and all services are completely complimentary. This service operates on a drop-in basis, with a turnaround time of 3-5 working days although this may vary slightly due to demand. For further information, speak to one of our dedicated in store members of the team.

MEET THE MANAGER...

Scott, Manager of Cheaney Shoe Shops Covent Garden

scott

Scott has been a member of the Joseph Cheaney & Sons team for nearly 5 years. He has an extensive background centred around luxury menswear and his understanding and appreciation of craftsmanship led to a keen interest in the industry. Scott has always had a passion for footwear and believes that “Shoes make the outfit and although ours are an investment piece for some people in terms of price point, a Goodyear Welted shoe can be refurbished multiple times, which is more cost-effective in the long run and therefore, more sustainable.

What sparked my interest to work for Cheaney was that the product is still 100% Made in England and still takes between 8-10 weeks to make a pair. I think the level of service and knowledge that you need in English shoes compares similarly to tailoring, as it’s a very personal process in terms of fit and finishes.” Scott’s personal favourite from the Cheaney collection is the Berkeley Wholecut Oxford and this is due to the fact that “it’s made from a single piece of leather, meaning you have less of a breaking-in process as it moulds to the shape of the foot a lot faster. This particular style is so versatile and can be dressed up as a wedding shoe or dressed down with a pair of chinos and a blazer, the options are extensive.”
