Very nice shoe

Shoes are comfortable, fit well and appear of good quality. My only negative would be that the soles look a bit thin. Normally I prefer triple sole shoes for durability. However time will tell if this is an issue or not.

Great fit from the off

These are my third pair of Cheaney's and this pair was easier to break in than the last lot. Not sure why but i can wear them from day 1 easily. They are very well made and my only debate now is when to buy my 4th and 5th pair!

Excellent service

I am very pleased with my shoes and the service. Last minute buy before Xmas and prompt next day delivery with 1 hour slot given by DPD. Bought these for work to be worn with suit for classic appearance. I used to buy high quality shoes mainly made in Italy. The traditional English shoes are compared to the italian ones more heavy and need a longer time to break in but they are more durable and more suitable for our colder climate. Once broken in they will last you a long time with the right care and you will not want to swap them.

An excellent shoe!

I gave these shoes to myself for Christmas and was rarely so happy about a gift. They are top processed, have a wonderful fit for me and were my favourite shoes until the new year - then my Cheaney Loafers arrived, which I prefer to wear especially during long driving due to their wonderful comfort and the equally great processing. I am now convinced of Cheaney shoes, even if we Germans are not said to have shoe competence....

The best

Second pair of Cheaney’s and not disappointed. The shoes are exactly as I expected well made good looking and a good fit. Great service from the company so what is there not to like. Haven’t used the restore service yet but I’m sure when I need to it will give any of my Cheaney shoes a new lease of life

Simply the best work and formal shoe

I really like these shoes... I bought them for work and I have to say the fit in size 8F was perfect. Comfortable, elegant, and full of proud English heritage. The confidence these shoes give the wearer cannot be put into words. The leather is soft, supple and aromatic. Compared to another so called famous English shoe maker who seem to sell sub par fake leather shoes and declining quality these are absolutely *5 stars. I will always stick with Cheaney.

I do wish these shoes came in the diamond rubber sole, as the Dainite trim is too wide for my liking. I like a neat trim to the sole so I ended up purchasing the leather sole and having the shoes resoled with rubber as it has a nicer closer cut trim.

I hope to get many years of faithful service out of these shoes, along with my other Cheaneys.

Oxford

The term 'Oxford' refers to any style of footwear with a 'closed' lacing system, where the facings are stitched flush with the rest of the shoe. Popularised at Oxford University in the 1800s, they represent the most formal end of footwear styles and encompass many variations including toecaps, brogues and boots. They offer a sleek and streamlined appearance and fit snugly across the instep.

Calf Leather

Calf leather forms the foundation of a large majority of our styles due to its classic appeal, hardwearing nature and adaptability. Our signature leathers are sourced from tanneries within Europe. Burnishing refers to slightly darker shades being applied to the shoe, specifically around the toes and heels - meticulously done by hand in our factory, burnishing gives each shoe personality and shows off the leather beautifully.
