Lovely Shoes

Bought these lovely shoes from Spittlefield’s store. Was served & fitted by Scott a very enthusiastic & well informed gentleman on shoes and style who also advised well on long-term shoe care. Shoes have proved to be an excellent buy, comfortable and versatile suitable for smart and casual clothing options.

Monk Shoes

Monk shoes are characterised by their lack of a lacing system and instead, are closed by a buckle and strap. Popularised in the mid-2000's and fast-becoming the preferred style of footwear amongst the fashion-forward, the monk shoe is widely accepted as less formal than an Oxford but more so than a Derby. With simple lines and contemporary style, the monk shoe traditionally features either a single or double strap fastening.

Last 205

Developed in 2010, the 205 last boasts a slim, sleek profile, perfect for formal occasions and professional wear. A contemporary shape with a more exaggerated, chiselled toe, this last is closer fitting to the foot for a comfortable, supporting fit. Slightly deeper over the instep and through the vamp area, with generous spacing in the toe box, the 205 offers an elegant, minimalistic shape.

FIT ADVICE

  • Stay true to size
  • Will feel longer on the foot but has an elongated toe box

Calf Leather

Calf leather forms the foundation of a large majority of our styles due to its classic appeal, hardwearing nature and adaptability. Our signature leathers are sourced from tanneries within Europe. Burnishing refers to slightly darker shades being applied to the shoe, specifically around the toes and heels - meticulously done by hand in our factory, burnishing gives each shoe personality and shows off the leather beautifully.
