The Eco Aware Collection has taken a year of meticulous research and development and the range strips back the amount of solvents and chemicals used within the standard manufacturing process for leather-based footwear. From the Vibram ECOSTEP recycled rubber soles, to cork bottom fillers, to selecting local raw materials from C F Steads, who’s tannage is metal and chrome free, components have been assessed and altered where possible to allow for a more ecologically sound product. Furthermore, the traditional process of Goodyear welt construction is utilized, allowing for the shoes to be fully refurbished multiple times within their lifespan, resulting in a product that has profound longevity. Lastly, reclaimed packaging in the form of cotton bags and 100% recyclable boxes have been selected to package the footwear. The collection reinterprets classic styles and presents them in their purest form for effortless design that reflects environmentally responsible, transparent production processes.
