Kailash C Derby Boot in Brown Yak Leather
- £465
Kalish is a rugged Derby boot crafted from polo brown yak leather, known for its soft feel, durability, and naturally distinctive markings. Built on our 140 last with storm welt construction and a chunky rubber ranger sole, it offers dependable grip and all-weather protection, finished with an OrthoLite® Hybrid™ insole for lasting comfort.
Any boot with its facings stitched on top of the vamp can be classified as a derby. Also known as 'open lacing', this style is of particular benefit to people with higher insteps and can be found on a variety of styles. Derbies are generally seen as more casual and offer an easy way to transition to casual outfits.
Designed for superior all day comfort, this last follows the natural contours of the foot to offer a supportive, easy fit. Its feathered lasting edge tapers neatly into the welt, reducing bulk and subtly concealing the join for a smoother, more refined silhouette.

Yak leather is a distinctive, high-performance leather sourced from domesticated yaks native to the Himalayan region, Tibetan Plateau, Tajikistan, the Pamir Mountains, and areas as far north as Mongolia and Siberia. Known for its tightly packed collagen fibre structure, yak leather offers exceptional strength and abrasion resistance while remaining remarkably soft and supple. Naturally adapted to harsh high-altitude environments, it is more robust than traditional cowhide, providing excellent resistance to wear, tears and scratches.
Despite its durability, yak leather has a smooth, buttery-soft feel with a flexible handle that requires minimal break-in time. Each hide carries its own unique character, with natural markings, scars and variations creating a distinctive, rustic finish.
