Forming part of the Cheaney Vintage collection is Jarrow, our men's 9 eyelet Derby boot finished in striking Black Chromexcel leather. Goodyear welted for durability and finished with a stacked, double studded rubber sole for superior comfort, Jarrow is an industrial-esque, rugged boot that's made to last.
Any boot with its facings stitched on top of the vamp can be classified as a derby. Also known as 'open lacing', this style is of particular benefit to people with higher insteps and can be found on a variety of styles. Derbies are generally seen as more casual and offer an easy way to transition to casual outfits.
The 12508 has become a Cheaney classic since its introduction in 2009. Acting as the foundation for a variety of styles the 12508 is wonderfully versatile update on the classic 4436. This last has a real presence on the foot with a generous, rounded toe.

The studded rubber sole, a hallmark of English Goodyear Welted footwear, features a distinctive tread pattern that is both eye-catching and functional. With skill and care, our crafts people rebuild the shoes, using genuine components and reconstruct it to its original specifications.
Chromexcel leather is a combination tanned leather that undergoes at least 89 separate production processes and takes 28 working days to complete. Chromexcel is the classic "pull-up" leather meaning that, when folded and flexed, greases and oils that were infused into the original hide migrate, causing a very nice tonal effect. The leather also develops a 'refined ruggedness,' a character of the leather whereby creases and furrows will quickly appear through the material, giving the boots a worn-in, vintage aesthetic.
