Excellent Comfort and Quality

Fortunate to have a pair of Hythe and Hythe II. Excellent quality throughout with added comfort. Delight to wear, as are most Cheaney shoes. The Grain is equally matched in both shoes that let them down in the past. The advantage of Cheaney is that they will do a complete refurbish of the shoes if and when they need repairs.

Hurry back

Presently back with Cheaney for a refurbishment as I wore them every day from the day I bought them. There is no shoe to compare at any price. I bought a slightly cheaper pair from elsewhere and am regretting it every time I put them on. The look and feel put a bounce in your step. I have had several comments over the years about them and the debacle now is which other pair do I buy?
I really won’t look elsewhere any more.

A beautifull pair of country brogues!

I allready own 5 pair of Cheaney, so I can vouch for the quality of their shoes but these are far my favourite pair. I have been wanting these pebble grain brogues for a while and I'm so glad I own them now, they are just a beautifull looking shoe and well worth the money.
If you want a quality pair of shoes then I highly recommend Cheaney, they just make cracking Goodyear welted shoes without the silly price tag.

Possibly the perfect shoe

I’ve had my eye on the original hythe and have been wanting to buy for a year or so. The version two with the 130 last is wider and a bit more comfortable. I bought both colours in the recent sale and am so glad I did. The black ones are a bit tighter than the brown which I this normal. But once I wore black at home for a few nights they softened up and now fit like a glove. Really great.

Oxford Brogue

The term 'Oxford' refers to any style of footwear with a 'closed' lacing system, where the facings are stitched flush with the rest of the shoe.

The word 'brogue' refers to the punched detailing, which at one point was used to let water out of country shoes; these days, they are purely decorative and add a more casual edge. A pair of oxford brogues can be dressed up or down and should be a staple style in anyone's wardrobe.

Grain Leather

Country grain is achieved by embossing our classic calf leather to create the grain effect, otherwise known as pebble grain. Revered for disguising creases and imperfections, this leather lends itself perfectly to our countrywear collection due to its resilience. Country grain also softens up very well around the foot, resulting in a shoe that you can wear all day with comfort.
