Stunning Quality

This is the 20th pair of Cheaney shoes and boots that I have bought so you could say I am a bit of a fan, however, these are a stunning pair of shoes, perfectly executed and just ooze quality. Perfect for any smart casual occasion. I cannot recommend Cheaney highly enough, their refurbishment service is also second to none, you end up with a completely rebuilt pair of shoes, which is also excellent value.

Even better in the flesh

These shoes look great on the web site, would you believe they are even better in the flesh. Clearly well made and a high quality product, my first pair of Cheaney shoes. I would normally take a 9 however the nature of slip on's can be varied, so ordered 81/2 still a little room at the heel but an 8 would be to small. No shoe horn in the box which I thought was a little mean especially with a slip on. My Barker's still hold the best arrival rather than just being delivered, with free shoe trees extra laces (oxfords) and extra leather insoles. I'm sure my new Cheaney's will serve me well.

The Cheaney Howard R Loafer

Shoes are as I expected from Cheaney. Comfortable and easy to wear. Great workmanship as usual. That's why I only wear Cheaney shoes.

Loafer

Due to their lace-less design and slip-on style, loafers are considered to be a simple but incredibly modern style of footwear. With American origins and links to early moccasin styles, loafers are traditionally finished in either leather or suede and have been developed over the years to include lined and unlined versions. Offering sartorial versatility that equally befits business or casual wear, loafers are a practical yet impeccably stylish shoe.

Last 5203

Slightly more American in its influence, this is the mainstay of the Cheaney loafer collection having been developed over 20 years ago. Deeper than the average English loafer last and a good option for the slightly wider foot due to its more generous fit, the 5203 is a supremely versatile yet classic loafer last.

FIT ADVICE

  • Suits a wider foot
  • Very generous in the width and more spacious in the heel then other loafer lasts

Calf Leather

Calf leather forms the foundation of a large majority of our styles due to its classic appeal, hardwearing nature and adaptability. Our signature leathers are sourced from tanneries within Europe. Burnishing refers to slightly darker shades being applied to the shoe, specifically around the toes and heels - meticulously done by hand in our factory, burnishing gives each shoe personality and shows off the leather beautifully.
