Fits perfectly well

Ordered a pair a week ago. At first was hesitant to order online but decided to give it a try based on the measurements included on the description. I was surprised when I first tried it on because it fit perfectly well more than I expected. Good quality for the value. Packaging was well done and presentable. Very satisfied with the good customer service.

Like gloves for the feet

This is the second pair of shoes I've bought from Cheaney so it helped that I knew which size to choose. They fit as if made for my feet. Very comfortable, very smart and good looking shoes.

Very Smart Shoes

Great looking shoes. Not too much brogue work to make them look too heavy. For those concerned that the rubber sole might detract from the look of the shoe be reassured that it does not. I have several shoes with this type of sole, which is both hard wearing and great if it's raining. With Cheaney's refurbishment getting the sole replaced is a doddle and your shoes look like new on return. Always get shoe trees (something I learned late) and the shoes will not crease and crack, and will stay looking great for ages. For those who know what "magic circles" are, the leather of these shoes takes the polish and holds it, and develops a mirror finish very quickly.

Very nice pair of shoe

I bought these shoes 3 weeks ago, they took about two weeks to break in, but were comfy from the outset, I did have to get the 9.5 rather than the 9 I have bought from other manufacturers in the past. Having a rubber sole is amazing.... no more slipping everywhere when getting to the tube station.
Overall a really great pair of shoes. I will use this company again.

Excellent shoes particularly at sale price

A friend recommended Cheaney shoes as I was looking for a long lasting pair of work shoes. Luckily the sale was on. These shoes are well made and comfortable. The Dainite soles were essential as leather soles are no good in wet Britain.

These are my fourth pair of Cheaney shoes but the first with the rubber sole. I'm not at all disappointed, they're a fantastic pair of shoes, that I suspect will last many many years.
The leather on this pair was not as soft as my other Cheaney shoes, but after a weeks wear they've softened-up nicely.

Oxford Semi Brogue

The term 'Oxford' refers to any style of footwear with a 'closed' lacing system, where the facings are stitched flush with the rest of the shoe. The word 'brogue' refers to the punched detailing, which at one point was used to let water out of country shoes; these days, they are purely decorative.

Semi brogues are an excellent halfway-house between formal toecaps and decorative brogues. They can be dressed up or down, offering a similar level of versatility to other brogues
