Good leather but disappointing shine

Bought am from the City store in London. Appreciate the leather quality but a real struggle to get a regular shine on these, let alone a mirror shine on the toe cap. It quite depresses the beauty if the shoe.
Some or the workmanship beneath the heel was disappointing also as well as a bit of stitching.
Otherwise they are rather comfortable. My 7th pair of Cheaney to date but so far the most disappointing outcome

Good but creak a lot

Nicely designed shoes made with good leather. However they creak a lot at the tounge and this hasn't subsided after breaking them in. A real disappointment as they look so beautiful and are comfortable.

Great shoes + Great 11028 last

Just received the shoes today in 85G. They are perfect for me. Very good construction quality, beautify last 11028. Softer leather compared with Church Crafton and Chetwyne. But the leather quality is impeccable. True these are not polished shoes. But reflects more sense for board room and office wear! Also, watch the YouTube presetation by the old gentleman for Cheaney shoes. It is great!

Lacks quality

I recently bought a pair of Broad all leather city shoe , I found the shoe and the same with a pair of wardour bought as well to be of not the same quality as previous buys in the past. Comparing Broad along side Connor brougue from late 80,s to early 90'd ,Kingston brougue bought in 92 and Chester brougue I purchased in 1986 all of which I still wear and they look great but the does not put a patch on the others , they feel light which is ok but the leather is not what it used to be , also after polishing and shining the leather look dull ! Leather lacks shine

The shine on the shoe was disappointing and made the shoe look very understated I spent 3 hours bulling them up (toe cap) to make them look decent. Very good quality shoe however

Oxford Brogue

The term 'Oxford' refers to any style of footwear with a 'closed' lacing system, where the facings are stitched flush with the rest of the shoe.

The word 'brogue' refers to the punched detailing, which at one point was used to let water out of country shoes; these days, they are purely decorative and add a more casual edge. A pair of oxford brogues can be dressed up or down and should be a staple style in anyone's wardrobe.
