Excellent walking Chelsea boot

Right from the first walk these waxy Chelsea boots proved their worth beyond the classic style. I recently got out for several long walks in rainy London; my feet remained dry and comfortable; still looked pretty chic too! Great quality leather, so well made and rugged sole to cope with cobbles & puddles.

Chelsea Boot

Originally designed as a boot for horse-riding, the Chelsea boot really gained momentum through the Mod movement of the 60s and a band you may have heard of called 'The Beatles'. The Chelsea boot's sleek design has a unique silhouette and is an ideal travel boot due to its elasticated gussets and pull tabs.

Waxy Leather

Waxy Commander was developed in the 1990s at the request of an iconic English shoe brand seeking rugged, hard-wearing, and water resistant suede. This leather met those requirements so well that C.F. Stead named it "Waxy Commander."

Its unique tannage involves shrinking the hide by up to 25% to tighten its fiber structure, enhancing its strength and impermeability. The leather is heavily waxed during tanning, resulting in a water resistant product with a stubble-like texture that reveals depth with every crease.
