The ultimate in dress-down fashion, trainers are a hugely popular choice across all generations. Offering an extremely lightweight and flexible design due to its original use as a sports shoe, the trainer market today goes beyond gym wear and into its own section of fashion. A trainer made using natural leathers and suedes goes one step further to increase longevity and breathability, resulting in an even more comfortable experience.
Designed and developed specifically for the new inhouse Cheaney made trainer range. Its silhouette mimics a classic sidewall stitched leisure trainer, with an allowance to house a comfort footbed. The rounded toe shape gives a casually dressed down look.

Engineered for longevity and cushioning that won’t flatten over time, while remaining exceptionally lightweight for all-day wear. OrthoLite® Hybrid™ insoles deliver comfort and performance.
Its open-cell foam structure ensures high-level breathability and effective moisture management, keeping feet cooler, drier, and more comfortable. The insole is also antimicrobial, helping maintain freshness over extended use, and washable, making it easy to care for without compromising performance.
What sets Hybrid™ apart is its sustainability edge, made with 20% eco-content (5% recycled rubber and 15% production waste foam), it reduces environmental impact without sacrificing quality.
Expertly crafted from premium rubber, the cupsole with side wall stitching is a durable and supportive sole construction commonly used in trainers. The cupsole is moulded from a single piece of rubber, forming a 'cup' that cradles the foot, and is cemented and securely attached to the upper with visible stitching along the side wall for added strength and classic styling.
With proper care, Cheaney trainers provide lasting comfort, value, and service. To extend their life after wear, we offer a re-sole service. Using the original high-quality materials, our skilled craftsmen carefully replace the sole, stitching it through the original holes, while leaving the rest of the shoe intact. Please note we can only resole once and this is dependent on the condition of the upper.
Kudu is a species of antelope native to the African Savannah. As it is a wild animal, kudu leather is naturally imperfect and has scars and scuffs as a result of life in a wild environment. Incredibly soft to the touch yet just as strong as other leathers, kudu is a fairly low-maintenance leather and creates less wastage than other leathers due to the inclusion of imperfections.
