What a beautiful boot

I spent time trying many boots, many, hunting for the pair which must have been in front of me all the while. Handsome, super handy most grab-able tab in the back. I have neuropathy in legs and hands and details like this make a big difference. Waxed laces which stay in place. I risked a long walk the first wear and my feet floated. Thank you "Olivia R"

So glad I was tempted

Very pleased with these after dithering for some months over the cost and style. I wore these for the first time on a museum trip to London on public transport with a fair bit of walking and was amazed by the comfort and total lack of any soreness when I got home more than 12 hours later. Just need to remember that when wearing socks with these it’s best to have a pair where the top shows over the top of the boot to prevent any chance of rubbing- for me any way. I love the grain. I think the laces could ideally be a few centimetres longer. I like the normal sole as the really chunky styles can look a bit at odds with my clothes - probably usually described as stylish casual for someone with silver hair and nearly 63.

Lovely Boots

These boots are lovely. They were comfortable from the outset. They should last forever I should think. The only down side was that the laces supplied with the boot are too short! Have ordered a pair of Dr Martens satin ribbon laces for them to make them look a bit more quirky.

Extremely comfortable

These boots fitted so well as soon as I put them on. I had to go down half a size but they are gorgeous. Worth the money.

Best boots

They take me everywhere. Comfortable, obviously well made and good looking. They are not dainty but certainly don't over emphasise my feet and look just fine with either trousers or a dress. Best of all, they work hard as proper, practical footwear

Fabulous boots

These boots are wonderful in every respect. The quality and style are both superb. I was lucky enough to have been given these boots in mahogany for my birthday a year or so back so was absolutely delighted when they came out in black too. (I had e-mailed Cheaney asking for them in black). I am running out of superlatives, but they really are great boots and I wear mine with dresses, suit trousers for work and with my black jeans. However, please note that that some may need to size down, I am usually size 7.5 - 8, but the size 7 fits me perfectly.

Simply Stunning Boots!

These are my second pair of Cheaney boots. Without the fur lining they fit my feet better. I think the leather will soften with wear. This pair are all leather and I do miss the dual combination of different textures (leather and suede) that come with the fur lined boots. However these plain black boots are to die for. Superbly, lovingly made in beautiful leather with great attention to detail..surprisingly easy and quick to put on, the waxed laces see to that. This particular 'last' is excellent for the slightly wider foot. Cheaney boots give a sense of solidity, (fanciful but true) of contact with the earth. I think they help my posture. They are the ultimate in comfort, style and fit. I love them...and they smell gorgeous !

Olivia R Ladies Wingap Country Boot Black

These are beautiful boots, the quality is outstanding and will definitely be investing in another pair of Cheaney shoes / boots in the future. The service is excellent, I called a couple of times for advice on sizing and quite clearly the staff at Cheaney are very proud of their shoes, very friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. Would strongly recommend anyone to invest in these beautiful boots.

Derby Brogue Boot

The term 'Derby', refers to any style of footwear with a 'open' lacing system, where the facings are stitched on top of the vamp meaning they can be opened outwards, as such, are suitable for a wide foot or a foot with a high in-step.

The word 'brogue' refers to the punched detailing, which at one point was used to let water out of country shoes; these days, they are purely decorative and add a more casual edge.
