Excellent Lace up Boot

This is my third purchase from Cheaney&Sons and first at full price. As I am a complete convert to Cheaney I decided it is worth full price without a peep from me to myself about the spend. They are worth it. What I expect given my other purchases is good fit, aesthetically superior form, and no wear in time. The Jess Capped Derby in black delivers on each point. I use a walking stick and am very shaky due to peripheral neuropathy on wet surfaces with autumnal leaves - possibly many are. This boot provided no slippage and were most stabilising as I walked over the payment just hours ago today. The peace of mind was a plus. THANK YOU all at Cheaney&Sons, your work at every point, is fully appreciated by me.

Best boots ever!

Such a beautiful pair of boots - couldn't be happier with them.. or with service at Cheaney's when I had to change them for a smaller size. They do run large- I normally take 7/7.5, but the 6.5 fits beautifully. They are so beautifully made.. will wear them for years

Spectacular

Boots arrived yesterday, so I put them on this morning to wear them in. Comfy out of the box, beautifully made, lustrous leather--absolutely spectacular in every way.

Most gorgeous pair!

Immaculately made, every stitch is in the right place, leather feels supple and should bed in in no time! Look a lot better actually in real life than in photos on the website. Smart no nonsense design I can wear with lacy dress and biker jacket, or skinny jeans and a blazer. Versatile and high quality. Special thanks to the customer service, always polite and helpful: returns, help with sizes, shop stock availability, sorting out the delivery. Happy to have my stunning new pair (Jess in black) from this hard working British manufacturer! PS: Went a full size down as tried Cheaney boots before and they run big for me.

Just what I was looking for. Perfect dress boots, no silly zips, rubber sole - all you need for an iconic look and comfort in the colder weather.

Derby Boot

Any boot with its facings stitched on top of the vamp can be classified as a derby. Also known as 'open lacing', this style is of particular benefit to people with higher insteps and can be found on a variety of styles. Derbies are generally seen as more casual and offer an easy way to transition to casual outfits.

Chromexcel Leather

Chromexcel leather is a combination tanned leather that undergoes at least 89 separate production processes and takes 28 working days to complete. Chromexcel is the classic "pull-up" leather meaning that, when folded and flexed, greases and oils that were infused into the original hide migrate, causing a very nice tonal effect. The leather also develops a 'refined ruggedness,' a character of the leather whereby creases and furrows will quickly appear through the material, giving the boots a worn-in, vintage aesthetic.
