- £495
A masterful fusion of craftsmanship and timeless elegance, the Hoxton exudes sophistication in every detail. Its distinctive long wingtip design elegantly wraps around the shoe, while a double leather sole provides exceptional durability, support, and structure. A storm welt ensures enhanced water resistance, and the rich Cognac Hatched Grain Leather adds a textured finish that radiates understated luxury.
This style combines several traditional design elements. Here's a breakdown:
Long Wing: This refers to the wingtip design that extends all the way around the shoe, covering the sides and heel. The "long" part signifies that the brogue's decorative perforations (or "broguing") stretch along the entire length of the shoe’s upper.
Derby: Any style of footwear with a 'open' lacing system, where the facings are stitched on top of the vamp meaning they can be opened outwards, as such, are suitable for a wide foot or a foot with a high in-step.
Brogue: Refers to the punched detailing, which at one point was used to let water out of country shoes; these days, they are purely decorative and add a more casual edge.
An old traditional favourite that has stood the test of time, the 175 is one of Cheaney’s longest running lasts. Iconic Cheaney with moderately narrowed toes softened through the box, this last stands out as a smart country look. Slightly generous in depth and width and shorter in the toe, this is the perfect option to sit between country and classic
FIT ADVICE
- Generous toe box but slimmer aesthetically when worn
- Retro short fronted, stay true to size
These soles have been intensely treated with oils and waxes in a long highly technical tanning process, to allow this leather sole to be more flexible and have water resistant properties. Like other leather soles a groove is constructed into it, this houses the matching tan sole stitching. Finally, the sole is stamped with classic Cheaney branding.
