Disappointed

I have these shoes in both burgundy and black. The burgundy pair are some of my favorite shoes. The black - something seems off. The leather is very loud - these shoes make noise whenever you move your feet or toes. I figured the leather may need to be broken in, or moisturized - which I did, but months later they’re just as noisy. The soles are also seeming to wear much quicker than my other pairs of Cheaney’s (I own about 5). The stitching is already coming undone on the soles. Frankly disappointed in this construction and hope this isn’t a new standard of quality for Cheaney shoes.

If Carlsberg did shoes!

I haven't bought a pair of Cheaney shoes for quite some time and I forgot what amazing quality they are! Both the style and fit are fantastic. Keep up the good work J Cheaney!

really comfortable

These shoes are superbly comfortable and really well-made. I've tried several shoe manufacturers in the past (K shoes,John White, Loakes, Hoggs of Fife, even Trickers (for sandals anyway) and these seem the best. I find myself keeping them on even in the house, as they are so comfortable!

One of the best shoes money can buy

Was inspired to write this review after checking in on the Cheaney website for the first time in a while, being initially interested In seeing whether prices/styles were still in-line with my original purchase...... Realising it was back in Sept 2015! Yes, I’ve sent my Fenchurch’s back to Cheaney for a full refurb in that period, and whilst I haven’t worn them every day, I must have easily laced them up on average for 18hrs per day, twice a week. How would I describe them? - A Genuine Investment What is the build quality? - Perfection How should you treat them? - With respect What would I recommend? - To buy Birch shoe trees with each pair How do they look now? - Still immaculate......and I don’t polish them religiously Would I buy another pair? - I’ve already bought another 3 Biggest concern? - That I was 37 before I bought my first pair and wasted tons of money on too many P**l S***h and H*** B**s shoes and boots over the years. My Cheaney’s are truly amongst my most treasured possessions and I feel great each time I wear them. If you’re reading this because you’re still to decide whether to splash out on a particular pair that’s caught your eye then I encourage you to just do it, you won’t be disappointed and if they aren’t actually what you hoped they’d be in the flesh, then you get a full return and refund service - I did the same before I bought these Fenchurch’s and the people at Cheaney we’re brilliant. Well done Cheaney, you’ve earned 10/10. Can’t wait to choose my next ones!!! DP, Lancs. 40 1/4 yrs Available for Birthdays, Weddings, Christenings, Anniversaries and Bar Mitzvahs.

Fantastic purchase

I have purchased my Fenchurch 4 years ago and worn them Monday to Friday ever since and they are still looking fantastic. Granted I've had the heel redone and I polish them constantly. The shoes still feel solid and supportive.
The after sale service was superb. I live in New Zealand and the initial pair was a fraction big. They were exchanged without issues.
Many thanks to Cheaney staff.

Oxford

The term 'Oxford' refers to any style of footwear with a 'closed' lacing system, where the facings are stitched flush with the rest of the shoe. Popularised at Oxford University in the 1800s, they represent the most formal end of footwear styles and encompass many variations including toecaps, brogues and boots. They offer a sleek and streamlined appearance and fit snugly across the instep.
