Our Umbrellas have been made by the UK’s longest established Umbrella manufacturer James Ince & Sons Ltd. Owned and run by the 6th generation of the Ince family - they have been based in London’s East End for over 215 years. The company uses traditional skills and techniques, both hand and machine, to assemble the Umbrellas using the finest materials
The canopy is a high density showerproof polyester fabric, which also has an SPF of 50 (sun protection factor) so will protect from the sun as well the rain.
The button on the strap is made from Corozo, a nut which is sourced from Central America, and made into buttons here in the UK by the last UK button maker. Each one is slightly different.
The Umbrella has a solid shaft and handle made from North American Hickory, which has been scorched to provide character. A gun metal trim finishes the Umbrella in a distinguished manner
