This is only my second pair of expensive footwear (the first one being Iron Ranger boots by Red Wing) and it took a while to summon the courage of clicking the buy button. I've had them for over a year now so this isn't a first impression. Sizing is absolutely perfect, even with slightly thicker socks, very little breaking in was required. I don't know what magic guys and girls at Cheaney use, but these shoes feel so... substantial they make even Iron Ranger boots seem inferior in quality, and those are very sturdy. Substantial and solid doesn't come at the expense of comfort as I have no problem walking 10 miles in these. Very happy, and even though I was lucky to get a discount around Christmas from company store I believe these are a great value even at full price.
Excellent service from Cheaney, John in particular. I bought 3 three pairs to try. The free delivery and returns service is superb. Finally settled on a pair a half size smaller than I usually wear as suggested by Cheaney.
Fit was so good it felt as if I had been wearing them for six months! Delighted.

Exquisite shoe. Comfortable yet sturdy and looks fantastic with a variety of trousers from chinos to salvaged jeans. The commando sole is very reassuring in wet conditions and the leather uppers are simply stunning. Highly recommend
Probably the most expensive shoe I’ve ever purchased but well worth it, they look great, the colour is positively different, incredibly well made and I’m sure they will last years!

Shoes are even much nicer in real life. Leather quality is above expectations and the last is very comfortable. Kudus to the Jermyn street staff.. very patient and knowledgeable although most are quier young. Loved the young spirit of the store that renovates a heritage brand in a historic street. First pair of Cheaney’s, won’t be the last!

This is my third pair - the first having a leather sole, the second a danite sole.They are very comfortable - still breaking them in - but nonetheless fit well. This last seems just right for my feet.Robust and good looking.
Fabulous looking shoes. They bear all the hallmarks of a quality shoes made by a prestigious company. However, I am having difficulty breaking them in. I have worn them every day for a week. Even going on walks over two miles in length. My feet are very sore and blistered. I will continue with them knowing that, in time, they will be fine.

This is the fourth pair of Cheney country shoes with commando soles I have owned, the first pair being retired recently after over 30 years of solid and comfortable service. Now in my late 60's I'm sure these will outlast me, so I'd better make provision!
