It has been a strange time for all of us and we hope you have all kept safe and well.
We want to thank our customers for their continued support during the lockdown and wanted to inform you of the safety precautions Joseph Cheaney & Sons are taking to ensure the health and wellbeing of our store staff and customers going forward as this is of paramount importance to us.
Available in our Marylebone store is our artisan polishing service, whereby we invite customers to drop off their Cheaney shoes and boots for a bespoke clean and polish. Customers can also request a professional Mirror Shine finish on suitable styles and all services are completely complimentary. This service operates on a drop-in basis, with a turnaround time of 3-5 working days although this may vary slightly due to demand. For further information, speak to one of our dedicated in store members of the team.
Ellie joined Cheaney 3 years ago with a strong understanding of the footwear industry having worked for other shoe retailers across London. Having a Fashion Design background lead Ellie to take a keen interest in the art of English shoe making and her passion for quality, sustainable and transparent manufacturing lead her to our door. She states, “I’m proud to say that I work for a company who is at the forefront of English manufacturing and I came to Cheaney because I believe in the product I sell. I love the family feel we have as a company - right from the craftsmen and women in the factory through to all our store staff. It’s great to be able to speak honestly about the brand and to have such a historic story to tell our customers; they love hearing about our heritage and I love deepening the understanding customers have of our brand.”
Ellie also has a penchant for boots, in particular, the Constance Copper boots which formed part of our Aviator Collection and the Alice mocha jodhpur boots from AW19. She muses, “Being 5ft 1” I’m all for a bit of extra heel height! ”
In her spare time she enjoys pottering around farmers markets, cooking and experimenting with hair colours and styles, which are usually of the rainbow variety. Wallflower is certainly not a word to describe Ellie and her positive energy and vivacity brings a creative dynamic to our Marylebone store.
