It has been a strange time for all of us and we hope you have all kept safe and well.
We want to thank our customers for their continued support during the lockdown and wanted to inform you of the safety precautions Joseph Cheaney & Sons are taking to ensure the health and wellbeing of our store staff and customers going forward as this is of paramount importance to us.
Available in our Covent Garden store is our artisan polishing service, whereby we invite customers to drop off their Cheaney shoes and boots for a bespoke clean and polish. Customers can also request a professional Mirror Shine finish on suitable styles and all services are completely complimentary. This service operates on a drop-in basis, with a turnaround time of 3-5 working days although this may vary slightly due to demand. For further information, speak to one of our dedicated in store members of the team.
Alex decided to apply to join the brand after walking past the window displays of our Cheaney flagship store on Jermyn Street and being impressed by the quality and aesthetic of our footwear. With a background in bartending and acting, Alex came to us 3 years ago as a confident, driven individual, with a positive character and infectious sense of humour.
His direct approach to advising customers ensures he cuts straight to the point with what our customers’ need, not what he thinks he can sell. His honesty and integrity for the brand lead to him becoming manager for our Covent Garden store in 2019 and his footwear and aftercare knowledge, paired with his proficient writing skills resulted in regular contributions to the Cheaney Journal, our online blog. Through informative but humorous articles, Alex addresses our customers’ most pressing questions, with articles written about caring for suede, the importance of using shoe trees and a myriad of other queries and observations. Outside of work, Alex can be found making some mighty fine cocktails, playing guitar and wishing he had a dog
