Cheaney Standard Refurbishment

It takes around eight working weeks to refurbish a pair of Cheaney shoes undergoing, as they do, many of the same process as when they were first made

  • On arrival, the shoes are carefully assessed and placed on the original lasts.
  • The soles and heels are removed, along with the welts and, if necessary, insoles.
  • With skill and care, our craftsmen rebuild the shoe, using genuine components and reconstruct it to its original specifications.
  • New leather or rubber soles are fitted and stitched, using the traditional Goodyear welted process, prior to the heel being attached.
  • Finally, the shoes are re-finished before being returned to you.

AFTER PAYING FOR THE REFURBISHMENT ONLINE - WHAT TO DO NEXT:


1.     Print a copy of the order confirmation and enclose it with your shoes 

2.     Please do not include shoe trees or shoe bags

3.     Pack your shoes securely and send them to us

4.     The cost to return the shoes to us is your responsibility and we recommend you choose a service which requires a signature.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, even if you simply change your mind, you have 30 days in which to return item to us for an exchange or refund.

The item must be unworn and undamaged and returned in the original packaging.

We recommend you try on the shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid any damage to the soles. Please note all shoe care products are non-returnable

Free Returns with DPD Pickup

Three simple steps to ensure your parcel is returned safely

1. Complete the returns form (this is at the bottom of the paperwork sent with your order) and pop it into your parce

2. Write your order number on the label provided; your order number begins with W00. Peel it off and stick it on the parcel, removing or covering old label

3. Visit www.dpd.co.uk/pickuplocator to find your nearest Pickup shop and drop off your parcel, you’ll be given a receipt so you can track it.

If you have misplaced your returns label or if there wasn't one in the box please email returns@cheaney.co.uk and we can arrange one to be emailed.

Please note if you do not send the parcel back using the above service and decide to use another method of return we will not be able to reimburse you for this

USA

If you are located in the USA we can generate a returns label for £20.00 GBP using our DHL account

Please email returns@cheaney.co.uk with your order number and tell us the item(s) that you would like to return. We will then send you a Paypal invoice. Once payment is received the label will be emailed

OTHER COUNTRIES

Unfortunately if you are not located in a Country where we offer a Free returns label the order(s) need to be returned at your own expense and within 30 days of receipt. The parcel must be clearly marked with:

'RETURNING UNSUITABLE GOODS TO SENDER'

Failure to do so may result in import duties for which we may hold you liable.

The item must be unworn and undamaged and returned in the original packaging.

We recommend you try on the shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid any damage to the soles.

Shoe care products are non-returnable.

REFUNDS

We aim to process all refunds within 1-2 working days of receiving the item. Please be aware at busy periods this may take slightly longer.

We will send you an email confirming that the refund has been processed.

Refunds may take up to 10 working days to appear in your account. This time frame is dictated by your bank or card issuer and is outside of our control.

FREE EXCHANGES

If you require an exchange for a different size we will deliver it back to you at no extra cost. Fill in your pre-printed returns form indicating which items you are returning and wish to exchange, including the details of the item you wish to receive in exchange.

Place this form in the parcel you are returning to us along with the items.

If you require a different product (rather than a different size of the same product) you will need to place a new order and return the original item for a refund.

The item is your responsibility until it reaches us, therefore we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that requires a signature & insures you for the value of the goods.

You will receive an email confirming that we have received your return and are processing your exchange; you will receive a further email when the exchange has been dispatched. Our standard delivery times apply for exchanges

CANCELLATIONS

The United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations give you the right to cancel your order within 7 days and receive a full refund including the original postage charges.

For orders that are 'Awaiting Dispatch' it may be possible to cancel your order before it is dispatched. Please contact us at info@cheaney.co.uk soon as possible after placing the order.

You are responsible for the delivery costs to return the item back to us

FAULTY / INCORRECT ITEMS

In the rare event that your product is faulty or we have made a mistake and sent you the wrong order please contact us by email info@cheaney.co.uk quoting your order number and our online team will respond as soon as possible.

Stunning Transformation

I'm really impressed with the quality of refurbishment of my Sisley shoes. I imagined they'd look pretty good, but they've come back looking brand new, with a lovely depth of colour and freshness that I wasn't expecting. Very, very happy...

Refurbishment

New leather doles and heels are very good and shoes still fit and feel comfortable. However, the leather uppers are now scuffed in several places, one mark is deep, almost through the leather. Not the degree of skill or professionalism promised.
