The item(s) must be unworn and undamaged and returned in the original packaging. We recommend you try on the shoes on a carpeted surface to avoid any damage to the soles.
The regular use of a quality wax polish is important in the care of leather shoes it helps to retain the natural shine of the leather. A beautiful pair of shoes deserves the finest treatment!
Polishing, if done regularly, shouldn’t take up too much of your time and won’t be at all arduous, as long as you do the basics right.
Before you polish your shoes, ensure that they aren’t wet, insert your shoe trees, remove the laces, and give the shoes a good once over with a horse hair brush. You want to make sure there’s no dirt or dust on the leather before you apply any products.

Please use this as a guide, but feel free to use some creative licence within reason. For instance, if you’d like to switch to a darker brown creme to enrich the colour, or a neutral polish to antique the leather, don’t let us stop you – just exercise caution and be sure to test the product on a small part of the shoe first.
With proper care, Cheaney shoes will give comfort, value and service over a considerable time. However, if after wear you wish to extend the life of your Cheaney shoes, we are able, because of the quality of the materials used in the original manufacturing process, to offer a full refurbishment service.
