Josie is a new development for Cheaney, a mid calf rigger boot featuring full length contrasting zip fastening for ease of wear. Constructed using Chromexcel leather from Horween's famous tannery in the USA and finished on a double Dainite sole, Josie is a robust addition to the AW19 women's collection.

Chromexcel leather is a combination tanned leather that undergoes at least 89 separate production processes and takes 28 working days to complete. Chromexcel is the classic "pull-up" leather meaning that, when folded and flexed, greases and oils that were infused into the original hide migrate, causing a very nice tonal effect. The leather also develops a 'refined ruggedness,' a character of the leather whereby creases and furrows will quickly appear through the material, giving the boots a worn-in, vintage aesthetic.

Excellent Quality and Beautiful Looking Boots

These are truly outstanding boots. I'd looked at them many times over the Winter and didn't quite get to the stage of purchasing. I was slightly put off by the pictures, it didn't sell them to me. I then saw them in the sale and with my birthday offer decided to purchase as I could send them back.

How wrong was I! These are beautiful boots made with butter soft leather, robust sole for lots of walking and nothing like the 'working boot' shown in the picture.

Perhaps the description Rigger Boots was what put me off in the first place but I will happily wear these boots next Autumn/Winter for dog walking. In fact I'll probably live in them.

Fantastic customer service, received within a couple of days despite lockdown restrictions.

To say I am pleased is an understatement. Well done Cheaney and my 6th pair of Cheaney shoes/boots.

Better than I expected.

These boots are gorgeous, and so well made . I’m coming to terms with spending that amount of money, on one pair of boots ! The workmanship is second to none. Don’t think I’ve ever seen such a well made pair of boots . They’ll just look better with age . I was going to order Size 7.5, so glad I didn’t ,as the Size 7 are slightly too big, but should be fine with a thicker sock.
