Cheaney Ingleborough B Hiker Boot in Mahogany Grain Leather

I bought my first pair of Cheaneys in 1982 (and still have one pair from 1986!) and had many after that, finding them better fitting than Churchs, and better value too. But more recently I found the sizes of the lace-ups had become too narrow due to Cheaney discontinuing traditional lasts (such as the comfortably broad 175), and that some of the loafers were too tight across the top.
However my faith has been partly restored by these Ingleborough Bs, which I bought online. They were very comfortable first time on and look terrific, a subtle reworking of a classic style. They are also very light, so much so I want to wear them round the house even though I got them as walking boots.
A brilliant, top quality boot – but at nearly £400 it ought to be!

These are my second pair of Inglebkrough B’s bought for the stunning mahogany grain finish as a contrast to my other dark brown pair, Quality is second to none as is the finishing of the tan and grain, boots matched each other with perfect symmetry. The boots fit true to size and are comfortable so you just have to decide if you want to wear an insole and thick socks, or not. Well packaged and protected in transit. Quick delivery even in these strange days. The rugged hiker look will never be out of fashion when paired with jeans or chinos. Great for everyday about town or country, great for popping over to the pub when the rain comes. Love the Union Jack soles and the fact these boots are made here in the UK. Just perfect in every way.
