Loafer

Due to their lace-less design and slip-on style, loafers are considered to be a simple but incredibly modern style of footwear. With American origins and links to early moccasin styles, loafers are traditionally finished in either leather or suede and have been developed over the years to include lined and unlined versions. Offering sartorial versatility that equally befits business or casual wear, loafers are a practical yet impeccably stylish shoe.

Last 146
Last 146

Last 146 was developed to build upon last 214 but with a slightly rounder, almond toe, clipped in heel and elongated body. As there are no laces to secure the fit on loafer styles, the shape must be fitted and true to size and these are the given properties with all Cheaney loafers

FIT ADVICE

  • Fits nice and snug at the heel so no slippage
  • Stay true to size

Extra Flex Leather Sole
Extra Flex Leather Sole

Shoes crafted with this sole are considered more flexible and more water-resistant than a normal leather sole. The Extra Flex Leather is visually dark brown in colour and has been intensely treated with oils and waxes in a long highly technical tanning process. Like the other leather soles a groove is constructed into it, this houses the matching brown sole stitching. Finally the sole is stamped with classic Cheaney branding.

Calf Leather

Calf leather forms the foundation of a large majority of our styles due to its classic appeal, hardwearing nature and adaptability. Our signature leathers are sourced from tanneries within Europe. Burnishing refers to slightly darker shades being applied to the shoe, specifically around the toes and heels - meticulously done by hand in our factory, burnishing gives each shoe personality and shows off the leather beautifully.
