Much has changed at our Northamptonshire factory in recent weeks. It has been some time since we heard the whirring of machines, the ‘click’ of knives on leather and the chatter of those crafting wonderful English footwear. Similarly, our stores continue to remain closed and all Cheaney staff are keeping safe at home.
However, we kept our website operational and informed our supportive customers that we would dispatch once a week in order to safeguard the skeletal staff in attendance. We’ve also had to be resourceful with the specifications of who does what, which has seen Marketing Manager Katie Basford picking, Ecommerce Manager John Pugh packing, Warehouse Manager Maria Wadsworth dispatching and our own Joint Managing Director, William Church, checking all web orders.
It’s a little bit different to the responsibilities usually undertaken but the ability to remain flexible and adapting where we can has allowed us to keep functional as a business. Once again we would like to thank all our loyal customers for their support. We hope you are all staying safe and keeping well and thank you for the messages of encouragement and support across our social media – The Cheaney Team
