We are delighted to be participating in LONDON CRAFT WEEK.
Now in its third year, the event showcases exceptional craftsmanship through a programme of demonstrations, workshops and talks.
Please join us at our Jermyn Street store, to learn about the highly skilled ‘Art of Shoemaking’ through demonstrations, this will involve our Head of Retail Martin Grey stripping down a shoe which includes removing the heel & sole, stripping the welt off and removing the bottom filler and wooden shank. These demonstrations will take place on:
Wednesday 3rd May 10.00 am – 7.00 pm & Saturday 6th May 12.00 pm – 7.00 pm
On Wednesday 3rd May at 7.00 pm, we will also be holding an evening event, which will take guests through our ‘1 of 1’ concept, where customers can experience the unique opportunity to customise their very own pair of Cheaney shoes.
At the end of the evening, William Church, fifth generation shoemaker and Joint MD of Joseph Cheaney, will speak about the history of the company, which has been handcrafting shoes in Northamptonshire since 1886.
Unfortunately, the event on Wednesday evening has SOLD OUT, please email the store Jermyn@cheaney.co.uk if you would like to be added to our waiting list, should we receive any cancellations.
