In these uncertain times we would like to wish all our customers, friends and associates a Happy New Year and hope that everybody is safe and well. Unfortunately, in line with the Government’s national lockdown, we have had to close all our retail stores and have also taken the decision to temporarily suspend all manufacturing activity at our Northamptonshire factory. Although this is disappointing, we understand it is necessary both in terms of protecting our business and more importantly, to keep our craftsmen and women, office and retail staff safe.
As we have mentioned before, there is a real vibrancy and community in our brand, we have a workforce that is both diverse and dedicated and this spirit still prevails. We have taken these extraordinary measures to protect our workforce and customers and whilst there are uncertain times ahead, there is also hope. 2021 still marks a new chapter in our 135 year history and we remain optimistic that there are better times ahead.
We’d like to reassure our customers that our website continues to be operational and is our only open channel at present. We have a fantastic sale on the platform and our highly-anticipated Autumn/Winter 2020 collection, along with core Cheaney classics, are still available to order. We ask for your patience in regards to shipping as a skeletal E-Commerce team will be coming in to the factory on Tuesdays and Thursdays to dispatch, all of which will be done with strict social distancing measures in place.
Once again, we would like to thank all our customers for their continued support of Cheaney and we will continue to update you as the situation unfolds. Until then, take care and stay safe.
