Making a Cheaney Shoe

Cheaney is one of the few shoe makers still handcrafting their shoes completely from start to finish in Northamptonshire, England. This video, introduced by joint owner William Church, shows some of the 200 operations performed by Cheaney's 120 skilled staff to make a single pair of shoes. The whole process takes about 6 weeks and is largely unchanged from the traditional beginnings of the company back in 1886.
